Presidential Election of Melite results in a landslide win for the Christian Nationalists
The 2022 Presidential Election in Melite held between the 10th and 11th of July, resulted in a landslide win for the Christian Nationalist Party of Melite, with its candidate, the second President of Melite, Matthew Tonna and his running mate Andrew Brotherton receiving 76.5% of the total vote, carrying 6 states and the Autonomous City (Capital). The runners up were Xram Irak and his running mate Julian D. Cassar (Current Mayor of Fgura SAR), who got 3 votes, carrying all the votes of F. SAR and thus the region.

The President of Melite is elected Chairman of the OEM.
The President of the Democratic Christian Republic of Melite has been elected Chairman of the Organisation of European Micronations, an organization focused on the close co-operation between micronations. The OEM welcomes European Micronations as members and non-Europeans as observers.

Chairman Matthew Tonna of the Christian Nationalist Party of the D.C.R. Melite, has been appointed Minister of Recruitment and Internal Affairs at the Micronational Conservative Solidarity Front, today by the Director-General, H.E. Rafe Burfield, President of the State of Norton. He will now be responsible to maintain order in the MCSF meeting venue and moderate future sessions. The Chairman sent his thanks to the Director-General, and will serve his obligations with diligence.
