National Symbols of Melite. (Flags, and Coat of Arms)


Former National Symbols

The National Flag of the Democratic Christian Republic of Melite.

A Red Field, representing the sacrifices of the nation, with yellow stripes curling from one side to the other and a Book with a Cross, represents the Christian Ideal.

The left canton shall be blue, with a white sun inside, representing the fight against tyranny.

The right canton shall be white, with the British George Cross inside, as the D.C.R. used to make part of the Republic of Malta and the Republic (D.C.) accepts History as it was.

The Regional Flag of the YeLand Special Administrative Region of the Democratic Christian Republic of Melite.

The Flag of the YeLand Special Administrative Region shall be:

“A Red Field, with black stripes curling from one side to the other, similar to the National Flag.

The left canton shall be blue, with a white sun inside, representing the continuity with the Central Government (Melite.)

In the middle, there shall be a Sun of May charged onto the middle of the flag.

To the right of the flag, there shall be a golden Christian Cross, with a green Templar cross superimposed.”
