The Democratic Christian Republic of Melite has officially changed its National Flag to a more simple design created by the President of the Snagovian Federation Ștefan Marius Snagoveanu with a dimensional ratio of 2:3.

The Melitian District of Comino also got itself a flag, with it previously using the Central Government Lesser Coat of Arms as a symbol. This flag was designed by Rafe Burfield, a citizen of Melite and President of the State of Norton, having a rough dimensional ratio of 2:3.

Both flags retain the Blue Sky and White Sun canton with the difference that the National Flag Alternates Quarters with blue and yellow, and the Comino Flag keeps a uniform Field. Both flags contain some sort of cross, a reference to Christianity, Melite's Officialy Established Religion.

The Flags were chosen through a plebiscite. The Electorate was given the choice to change the National Flag or Retain it, and adopt the new flag of Comino or retain the Central Government's lesser Coat of Arms. The new National Flag was heavily approved by the electorate with over 75% choosing 'Yes'.
